We place a strong emphasis on education and professional growth through weekly training sessions, one-on-one sessions with the agent and brokers, as well as, monthly brainstorming sessions to keep everyone abreast of what is happening in the marketplace. We also encourage agents to teach what they know to others by providing them with opportunities to share their ideas in monthly break-out meetings. These meetings give agents the opportunity to learn about investments, web marketing and strategies, business to business networking and so much more.
In addition, agents are kept up to date with a weekly update from Scott MacDonald, our Broker/Owner/President, via scottymacsblog.com where information on the local and national market is communicated with the agents through his blog.
The Real Estate Listing Exchange is a mid-week gathering where Scott MacDonald updates agents and provides the opportunity for them to share and discuss their listings and hot topics with fellow real estate agents from throughout the Northern Virginia area, finance and mortgage consultants, and other real estate service providers. Many agents use this information in listing/buyer appointments, with their current clients or with the public to show their knowledge about the market, its trends, and what could potentially happen int he future! This is just another way that we are dedicated to creating an environment that fosters the success and empowers each of our agents.
Quarterly Meetings provide a platform for inter-office planning and procedural updates and the direction and goals of RE/MAX Gateway. Expert speakers have included Dr. Stephen Fuller from George Mason’s Center for Regional Analysis; Richard Koss, Director of Economics with the Economic and Strategic Group for Fannie Mae; Doug Duncan, Chief Economist for Fannie Mae; and Dave Stevens, Under Secretary of FHA.
